Hi,
I'm French and as many european users, I need to display strings with stressed characters: é, è, à, ...
For example if I write:
DB db = create("Export d'une spécification détaillée")
DBE chk1 = toggle(db, "Exporter la liste des règles", false)
DBE chk2 = toggle(db, "Exporter les informations de toutes les baselines", false)
ok(db, "OK", main)
show(db)
the strings displayed are:
"Export d'une spcification dtaillée" ("é" is not displayed)
"Exporter la liste des rgles" (same for "è")
Does anyone have a solution for that. Is there, like in C an escape character.
Thanks for you answer,
Alain

Does the system locale / language affect this? I am running DOORS 8.3 with Finnish locale and Finnish language and if I just copy your example through Windows clipboard to DXL interaction window (and add the missing main function) the accents are displayed correctly when run.
..and to continue.. I have not noticed any problems with the Scandinavian characters ä, ö, å, Ö, Ä, Å in labels or other DBEs.

I have encoded my DXL file in UTF8 and it works.
Thanks.
(it was too simple...)
